Jack Gantzel was born and raised in Cypress River, Manitoba. Since 1972 he has lived in Winnipeg and has never forgotten his love and respect for nature and the beauty of the land. It is through his photographs that this love and respect is most apparent.
Jack received his Certificate in Photography and in Graphic Arts from Red River Community College, Winnipeg. His photographs have been published in Canadian Geographic, Photo Digest, National Geographic Traveller and Teldon Calendars. He received an honorable mention award in the Kodak Kinsa Competition with the winning photo being displayed in EPCOT Center, Walt Disney World. Jack has also won numerous awards through local photography contests.
Jack's first major exhibition was in the Wasagaming Community Art Gallery in the summer of 1999.
